HATCHBACK OR SEDAN
The Sonic will not only be offered in two body styles: a 5-door hatchback or a 4-door sedan, but with two engine options. The 1.8L ECOTEC® has 138 hp and 125 lb.-ft. of torque and comes in a 5-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic transmission. To step it up a notch, the 1.4L turbo — which gets an estimated 138 horsepower
and 148 lb.-ft. of torque — is available with the Sonic LT and LTZ. This model can be paired with either a 6-speed manual or automatic transmission. With the performance of a larger displacement engine, the Sonic 1.4L Turbo also improves mid-range torque, giving drivers added power on the highway. The Sonic’s usable power
is built to last, thanks to high-temperature nickel alloy turbo housing and water-cooled bearings designed in for durability.
COMING TO YOU: STANDARD
Keeping you safe and in-style is all part of the 2012 Sonic. Standard features include SiriusXM Satellite Radio*, OnStar Directions & Connections with Turn-by- Turn Navigation (six-month subscription)**, remote start+, temperature sensor and outside heated mirrors.
